Vancouver Aquarium, Nike Haul, & a Weekend at the Beach

Last week was an insanely busy week! It seems like since there was no school on Monday the week would have been easy peasy and that probably would have been true if I had worked on projects & relaxed on Monday. Instead we spent the day at the aquarium:) Kyle even took the day off so he could join in on the fun.

Tuesday: After all the rain during Run for Water my little watch could not take it and went blank. During the race I started to see a little bit of condensation around the edges but I assumed it would go away. I was wrong, as soon as I got home I So I had two options: get to a Nike store for a quick exchange or mail it to Nike & wait 2ish weeks for a new one. No way could I live two weeks without this guy, so I sucked it up and made the trek down to the Burlington outlets.

The exchange was simple and easy. The day before I called Nike+ and the costumer service rep set up my exchange and sent me a confirmation email. All I had to do was show the manager the email and I just like that I had a new watch! Of course I couldn’t just get a new watch and leave:) I finally used my birthday gift card and bought a super cute running top & a purple workout shirt. By accident they totally match my SeaWheeze shorts!! Happy dance!

I have been waiting and waiting to find out if I got into the NYC Marathon and on May 29 (also my Daddy’s birthday) was selection day. I honestly did not think I really had a chance at being picked so when I got this email I was not too bummed. Time for plan b.

My backup plan has always been the Nike Women’s Marathon! Like NYC it is random draw but unlike New York you can register as a group! Registration opens up tomorrow…AHHH!!!! Wish me (and my group) luck!

Nike Women's Marathon

Friday & Saturday: Yay for trips to the beach. After a crazy week a night at Rosario Beach was exactly what I needed!

Yoga at Rosario

Family/friend time, trail running with Marie, playing in the sand with my favorite kiddos, searching for crabs in tide pools, and yoga on the beach:) Pretty good weekend, I’d say!

    • Shelli! Not sure how I missed this comment. Rosario Beach is just a few miles west of the Burlington, WA outlets. It is soooo beautiful!
